Little Buttermilk Bay

10X13 unframed for $250, $550 framed. Little Buttermilk Bay will be on exhibit at the New England Watercolor Society in the 2025 Spring Into Art Show. It’s an all  members show that runs from March 7 – May 7 at the Plymouth Center for the arts.

This painting is a watercolor landscape depicting a serene coastal scene. The composition includes a shoreline with sandy and grassy textures in warm earthy tones, complemented by lush green vegetation and trees. The background features a calm body of water reflecting soft pastel hues of the sky, possibly indicating a sunrise or sunset.  I used fluid brushstrokes and splattering techniques to create a dynamic yet tranquil atmosphere. The interplay of light and shadow adds depth and movement to the scene, making it a visually engaging and evocative piece.
